Here's How Many In Fairfield County Are Now Without Power After Storm Sweeps Through

Thousands of Fairfield County residents have lost power after the overnight storms that brought damaging winds and heavy rain to the region.

As of 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, United Illuminated Utility crews were reposing to 178 outages impacting 5,061 of the company’s 335,715 customers in Connecticut. Eversource was reporting that 68,437 of its 1,276,911 customers were still without power.

In Fairfield County, Eversource customers reported outages in Newtown (1,047); Ridgefield (848); Wilton (424); Greenwich (357); Weston (343); Brookfield (272); Westport (254); Stamford (251); Norwalk (108); Danbury (87); Darien (61); and New Canaan (72).

Due to road closures and power outages, Ridgefield and Newtown public schools are closed on Friday.

United Illuminated outages were reported in Fairfield, Shelton, Stratford and Trumbull.
